Maryam Crogman is a visionary artist, educator, and author dedicated to using creativity as a bridge for cultural understanding. Born into a richly diverse background as a multicultural, multilingual French Caribbean artist, she has spent her life exploring the complexities of identity, race, and belonging.

As a biracial individual, Maryam has grappled with issues of colorism and racial division, experiences that have profoundly shaped her artistic voice. Through her art, she tells the stories of marginalized communities, celebrating their dreams, struggles, and creativity. Her work is a bold inquiry into human perception—challenging why differences in hue so often overshadow the richness of character and talent.

Her unique artistic style blends bold colors, expressive figures, Afrocentric symbols, and diverse media, from acrylic portraits and uninterrupted lines to pop art, pointillism, and street-inspired techniques. Whether on canvas or in digital form, her creations are immersive, thought-provoking, and deeply personal.

Beyond her art, Maryam is the founder of L’Expression Creative Studios Inc., a multicultural art center and event space on a mission to celebrate "Arts in Diversity." Located in Southern California, the studio serves as a hub for creativity, inclusivity, and community connection through paint parties, workshops, and cultural events.

Maryam also extends her passion for storytelling into children's literature. Her book series, beginning with A Bull In The Air (published in 2020), follows Mr. Moo on adventures that encourage self-discovery, acceptance, and empathy.

At her core, Maryam believes that art is more than just visual expression—it is a powerful tool for dialogue, healing, and transformation. Through L’Expression Creative Studios, she continues to inspire individuals of all backgrounds to embrace their uniqueness and find their voice through creativity.
